Archdiocese of Madang
The Archdiocese of Madang is situated in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea, and serves five districts: Madang, Sumkar, Bogia, Middle Ramu, and Usino Bundi. This expansive diocese plays a vital role in delivering health services to a diverse population spread across both urban and remote areas.
Diocesan Health Services
The Diocesan Health Services encompass a range of corporate and public health services managed by the Diocesan Health Manager. Currently, the catchment population served is approximately 214,773, highlighting the extensive reach and impact of these services throughout the five districts.

The corporate services function as the backbone of health administration, comprising several key divisions:

Public Health Services
Public Health Services within the Archdiocese consist of a network of about eighteen (18) health facilities, ranging from aid posts to health centers, classified as levels 1 to 3 according to National Health Service Standards. These facilities are strategically located in rural and remote areas to provide essential primary health care services, addressing the health needs of the communities they serve.
The Archdiocese of Madang is dedicated to improving health outcomes, fostering community well-being, and responding effectively to the unique challenges faced by its diverse population.
Madang Province is home to 3 Health Centers, 8 Health Sub Centers and 7 Aid Posts that are key players in providing vital healthcare services to the local community. These facilities, while facing some challenges, also have numerous strengths and opportunities for growth that are worth highlighting.
